“What’s 187 times 187?” my 10-year-old quizzed his 5-year-old brother.
Exasperated, Tate shouted to his older brother, “I don’t know; I’m only in Pre-K!”
Tate doesn’t know how to multiply just yet. He’s still learning. It’s one of the gifts and liabilities of being human. It’s also one of the countless ways God is different than us.
Our God is omniscient. This means that He knows everything. All the mysteries of the universe are known to Him, and no detail of our lives is hidden from Him.
That’s a sobering thought, right? But what immeasurable comfort! We worship the one true God who never learns or is surprised. He is legitimately and rightly the only, true “know it all.”
