What if our failures are actually clues pointing us in a better direction?
When I first quit my full-time job to stay home with my kids, I tried and failed at several creative pursuits. And when I say failed, we’re talking went down in flames!
I tried to be a floral designer, but allergy issues led to me being dismissed. I tried to be a wedding planner, but I was so stressed out, I got sick at the first wedding I helped plan. And I had to give up my dreams of being a mural painter when I realized I really couldn’t paint.
It was such a bumpy ride! But tucked inside each of those failed endeavors were clues that I was made to create. And had I been successful at those other jobs, I may never have pursued my real calling – stringing words together through writing – becoming an author and a Bible teacher.
