Mother Teresa famously said, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.”

That is certainly true, but I think the Christian version might go something like this, “If you want to change the Kingdom, go home and serve your church.”

In Revelation 2 and 3, Jesus gives John some letters to the churches in ancient cities like Thyatira, Pergamum and Ephesus. Jesus’ call for these local churches is to persevere and continue in their work together for Him. Let’s not miss this. Jesus sees and cares about the local church.

Are you part of a community of people who change the kingdom for Jesus? If not, pray and ask God to connect you with one. Because if you want to change the kingdom, serve your church.
