Our boys went to summer camp, and it rained three of the four days they were there.

After multiple days of rain, camp was a massive mud hole, and the afternoon activities had to be canceled. But as the counselors scrambled for plan B, the kids ventured out into the rain and started an impromptu muddy kick-ball game.

My guys said it was their favorite camp memory ever.

I bet we all have memories like that. Stories about how something went wrong and plans got changed, but the end was better for it.

I think the key difference is how we think about the unexpected. If we truly believe that God is in control of every detail and intimately involved in both the Plan A’s and Plan B’s of life, we are free to enjoy either scenario.

So play in the rain. He planned that, too.
