When it comes to our dreams and wishes, hard times serve a great purpose.
I remember being there. I know what it’s like to walk around with a tote bag full of dreams, and a heart full of nervous hope — just praying someone would like my ministry idea or respond to my book proposal — only to be rejected.
Though it’s true that I always learned much more from my failures than my successes, that never lessened the blow. So, I learned to look for the small open doors right in front of me.
I knew that If God was calling me to do something, He would open a door for me to walk through. It might be a small door, but it was always one there.
Actually, I learned to dance through it with great joy, because I now know God honors those who are willing to be faithful in the small.
