Last week I was driving along a tree-lined country road with my four boys in tow.

Along the way my son Ryder said, “Oh mom, I know where we’re going. This is the way to camp.”

Unfortunately, he was off by about 25 miles. When I tried to convince him that we were actually on the other side of town, he assured me that he recognized those trees.

Have you been there? Thought you were in one place, headed in one direction, only to discover that God was actually taking you somewhere completely different? It’s just as foolish for us to argue with God’s plan as it is for my 8-year-old to argue with the mom driving the car.

We may think we know where we’re going, but our lives are being driven by an all-wise God who knows exactly where He’s taking us. And we get to just enjoy the ride.
